West Ham are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation as Manchester United have entered the race to sign Fabio Carvalho.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool's failed pursuit of the Fulham forward has led to their rivals looking to seal his services.

The Hammers are believed to be keen but are aware that they're unlikely to sign him, given the interest from the Champions League duo.

Unlikely

West Ham may want to sign the 19-year-old and he certainly would be a great fit, but this move is unlikely to happen.

If they really wanted him, they should've done whatever they had to in January.

Now, after the failed Liverpool move, he's constantly going to be in the headlines and there could be more suitors that emerge in the coming months.

Unlike the Hammers, they've got deep pockets and could offer him a massive signing on bonus and a lucrative salary as well.

West Ham

West Ham are not going to take that leap of faith on someone so young and unproven and mess up their wage structure for him.

Sky Sports’ Don Goodman called him “brilliant” in 2021 and he's certainly set for heights in the European game should he progress at the same level he has over the last year or two.

However, that is possibly not going to happen at the London Stadium and the club need to look at alternatives.
