Karren Brady tells Tim Steidten to find new club amid West Ham sack update

Martin Allen

Martin Allen, better known as "Mad Dog" was a real fan favourite at West Ham when he made over 200 appearances for the Hammers between 1989 and 1995. After hanging up his boots after spells at QPR, West Ham, Portsmouth and Southend, Allen entered management with the likes of Barnet, Brentford, MK Dons, Leicester and Notts County. We're now delighted to have Martin as our new West Ham Zone expert.

Martin Allen has speculated that Karren Brady told Tim Steidten to find a new club away from West Ham.

The Hammers technical director has come under heavy scrutiny in recent months and could finally be set to face the sack at the London Stadium [David Ornstein].

This report has emerged despite a move for Ezechiel Banzuzi moving closer which could have been the work of Brady without the German's influence [ExWHUEmployee].

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: "I think Karren Brady has great knowledge, she's a very good negotiator so it wouldn't surprise me if she's stepped up to get deals done.

"What does it say about Tim Steidten? It cements the idea that he's out there trying to find a new job, it's probably been Brady who has told him to do that.

"That's just speculation but if she has taken over the deal for Banzuzi, that says a lot about him."

It would be no surprise to supporters in East London that the Hammers hierarchy have grown impatient with Steidten in recent weeks and months.

This has seen the German offer himself to other clubs which is likely to go down badly, especially while being under fire already.

Considering Steidten spent a large sum in the summer which ultimately made the Irons worse, letting Brady take charge would represent a risk-free change in E20.

With Banzuzi already linked, it will be interesting to see if any more deals are conducted by the Baroness before the winter window ends.
