West Ham United supporters don't forget those who wore their shirt with pride.

The Hammers faithful are some of the most dedicated, loyal and passionate supporters around.

It's routine to hear of players, past and present, to consistently speak about the Irons supporters with glowing praise.

Players who wear the hammers on their chest are obliged to do so with pride and enthusiasm for the cause.

So long as they play for the badge on the front, West Ham fans will always remember the name on the back.

One of those who did exactly this during his time at the London Stadium was Vladimir Coufal.

What did West Ham fans do for Vladimir Coufal?

It was only in last year's summer transfer window that Coufal waved goodbye to West Ham.

The Czech international left on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract, bringing to an end his five-season-long affiliation with the club.

During that time he made 180 appearances for the Hammers, and despite never scoring a goal, did help the Irons lift the Conference League trophy in 2023.

Coufal was an integral part of some of West Ham's best Premier League sides in recent history, and was a firm fan favourite in E20.

He still holds a big place in many fans' hearts, as showcased via Coufal himself on X this week.

Now playing for German side Hoffenheim, the 34-year-old and his side played Borussia Monchengladbach away on Sunday night.

Coufal shared an image to his X account of a group of West Ham fans at this game holding a Hoffenheim shirt with his name on the back

He's captured taking a selfie with the Hammers fans, who are also seen doing the hammers gesture, captioning the post by saying: "Hammers everywhere."

So, how is Coufal getting on in the Bundesliga this season?

How many goal contributions does Coufal have this season?

Coufal may be in the twilight years of his career, but that doesn't mean he's going quietly into the night.

Last season saw him play 35 times for Hoffenheim, scoring once and providing eight assists in all competitions.

He's once again started the 2026-27 season as a key player for the Sinsheim-based outfit, starting all six of his Bundesliga games so far.

Coufal has two assists in the league as well as on in the Europa League, having made nine total appearances in all competitions.

Per FotMob, no Bundesliga right-back has played more line-breaking passes than Coufal's 61 this season.

Meanwhile, he's also delivered 15 accurate crosses, created 14 chances, won 77.8 per cent of his aerial duels and made 27 recoveries.

Fair to say, then, that Coufal is still the quality defender West Ham fans remember him so fondly as being.
