West Ham duo David Moyes and Tim Steidten were spotted in talks at the Intercontinental Hotel, O2, on Thursday (3 August), according to Six Foot Two.

The reliable Hammers news outlet reported on its website on Saturday (5 August) that sources claim the two were having a friendly discussion and were exchanging jokes as well.

Talks of Moyes being sacked or stepping down have been brushed away despite the Daily Mail's Mike Keegan claiming that things had reached a boiling point between the two.

Seeing eye to eye?

Moyes and Steidten have not seen eye to eye on transfer dealings this summer and that has prevented the club from making new signings.

It's been over a month since Declan Rice was sold to Arsenal for big money and they should have brought in a replacement by now.

However, it seems that they are on good terms and that's important as signings desperately need to be made as soon as possible.

Sacking Moyes two months into the summer window makes little to no sense and they will not even part ways with Steidten during the window.

His performances may be gauged beyond September but right now the board needs to be backing him.

Edson Alvarez appears to be the first signing this summer and it remains to be seen who follows him through the door.
