David Moyes sack update as David Sullivan frustrated at West Ham United

The West Ham board are now considering the position of David Moyes as David Sullivan is yet to be convinced whether or not to hand him a new contract, according to HITC.

The news outlet reported on its website on Monday (12 February) that the Hammers chairman would ideally like to keep the Scotsman, but he knows there is resistance from within the club and the 6-0 defeat against Arsenal on Sunday (11 February) will not help the "keep Moyes" campaign.

It added that the 75-year-old is growing "increasingly frustrated" with the Irons boss and technical director Tim Steidten as ongoing issues saw them miss out on several deals during the January transfer window, with the duo not agreeing on the moves.

Not a healthy situation at West Ham

The uncertainty behind the scenes can't continue at West Ham as it's clearly now starting to have an impact on matters on the pitch.

If Moyes and Steidten failing to agree on transfers during the window was the reason why the club weren't very active, then that is absolutely ridiculous and something surely has to give.

The talk around the Hammers manager's future isn't going to go away until a decision is made and it really has to happen sooner rather than later to ensure our season isn't derailed.

The result against Arsenal will have certainly done him no favours as it's going to be extremely difficult to get the fans back onside following that embarrassment in a London derby.

The board seriously have to get to grips with this situation because we're in a position to push on as a club, but it's all starting to get a bit messy at the London Stadium at the moment.
