David Moyes remarkable return on cards at West Ham United

David Moyes could return for a third spell at West Ham United in a "remarkable" twist, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist reported on his Patreon on 8 December that Moyes is happy to wait for the right opening with Julen Lopetegui now facing the sack.

The Spaniard is set for one more chance against Wolves at the London Stadium on 9 December in the Premier League [Fabrizio Romano].

Nixon claims a third spell for Moyes is possible in the "right circumstances".

Wow, now this would ruffle some feathers.

Moyes was called out consistently by the West Ham fanbase throughout his final season at the London Stadium, but they have been made to look silly now.

There were many messages of 'be careful what you wish for' when people were calling for Moyes' head, and that has transpired this season under Lopetegui.

Would Moyes really want to return to the London Stadium? And would the fans want him?

David Sullivan, Tim Steidten and the board need to be very careful with their next move or they could face a complete revolt from the fans after a wretched start to the season.

Some progressive ideas are needed desperately, with Lopetegui struggling and not changing much from what Moyes was doing in the season before.

Lopetegui has one last chance against his former club Wolves, but in reality, the next heavy defeat against anyone in the Premier League could spell the end of his tenure already.
