West Ham vs Millwall injury latest: 11 to miss Dockers Derby as 14-year first boosted

West Ham United and Millwall have some injury issues heading into their Dockers Derby clash on Saturday.

The Hammers will head to The New Den on Saturday in search of a win in their first game against the Lions since 2012.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be confident based on Millwall's recent form, with the Irons currently on a warpath in the Championship.

West Ham fans would love nothing more than to see their team continue their promotion push in Millwall's backyard, and they have a good chance of doing so.

That's because Alex Neil will be without several important players for the clash, admitting his side is running low after a 2-2 draw against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

But West Ham have a couple of injury concerns themselves.

Millwall injury list only benefits West Ham

Millwall's bench against Middlesbrough consisted of five players who were 20 years old or younger.

Romaine Esse missed the game at the Riverside Stadium, as Neil has confirmed the winger will be back "well after the international break", with Mathis Servais' ongoing hamstring issue also preventing a debut.

Josh Coburn and Mihailo Ivanovic both started next to each other up top for the Lions last season, but will each miss out with muscle problems.

Tristan Crama, who was recognised in the Championship's Team of the Season last campaign, is unavailable to play against Nuno's men, while defensive partner Ryan Leonard is also set to miss out.

Midfielder Casper de Norre is set to be sidelined with a muscle injury, as the game also appears too early for either Alfie Doughty or Lukas Jensen.

West Ham have fitness issues of their own, but nothing on the scale of Millwall's current nightmare situation.

Neil has already tried to get the excuses in early for Millwall, but no West Ham fan will care about injuries if they return to E20 with all three points.

Joel Veltman went off injured during West Ham's 6-0 hammering of Wrexham, and was absent for the 3-2 Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham on Tuesday.

He remains a serious doubt and looks set to miss the game.

The big question mark hovers over Tomas Soucek, but as of right now, there are no indications to say that he will be fit to play against Millwall.

The Czech Republic international has yet to play for the Hammers this season after suffering a thigh injury at the World Cup, and despite being back in training, he didn't make the squad to face Fulham.

Nuno will most likely stay patient and opt against rushing Soucek back in too early.

That said, 11 players are set to miss the game at The Den, though the readings thoroughly benefit West Ham ahead of the derby clash.
