West Ham vs Charlton Athletic injury news: Nine could miss out as Nuno shares latest
West Ham United are set to welcome Charlton Athletic to the London Stadium on Saturday.
The Hammers are set for their first Championship outing in E20 after relegation.
They welcome Nathan Jones' side from across the capital in the hunt of a first win of the second tier campaign.
Things took a frustrating turn against Burnley last time out as a Zian Flemming brace meant the points were shared at Turf Moor.
Nuno Espirito Santo needs to hit the ground running on home soil with the claret and blue outfit.
The Addicks provide a chance to do exactly that as both sides struggle with their own fitness concerns.
West Ham could miss three players at the London Stadium
There were plenty of positives to take from the opening day clash in Lancashire.
The Irons may have thrown away all three points, but showed their quality until their lack of squad depth got the best of them.
Things have improved since then with the addition of Arne Engels, Joel Piroe and Devine Mukasa.
That is certainly a boost, but the Hammers look set to be without Tomas Soucek, Keiber Lamadrid and Pablo in E20.
Nuno spoke out in his West Ham press conference on Thursday to reveal the latest goings on.
He said: "We have some problems with injuries. Players that are not going to be available. It's about assessing them day by day, we have one more day then we're going to make the squad list.
"Pablo has a calf injury from the previous game, and we have to assess him day by day."
If that is frustrating for the Irons, it is only worse for the Addicks.
Charlton Athletic face major issues vs West Ham
Jones' side remained in the second tier after promotion last time around.
They will be keen to do exactly that once again this season, especially after starting with a 2-1 win against Derby County.
Charlton are now set for their first Championship away day of the campaign.
Things won't be easy, especially with six names potentially set to miss out.
Micah Mbick, Josh Edwards, Kayne Ramsay, Charlie Kelman and Rob Apter are almost certainly going to miss out in East London.
There is more of a question surrounding Timothy Ouma, who could be in line to made his Charlton debut on Saturday.
Having six first teammers missing against West Ham will take it's toll, but will certainly make for an interesting encounter.
