West Ham United will be monitoring Manor Solomon's situation closely over the next couple of days.

The Hammers ace has been away on international duty with Israel over the past couple of weeks.

Solomon has played in defeats to Austria and the Republic of Ireland, as well as the goalless draw with Kosovo.

Israel are due to face off with Ireland again, in a politically charged fixture that is taking place in Serbia.

However, Solomon may not be available for the game against Heimir Hallgrímsson's men.

And Nuno Espirito Santo will be keeping a close eye on developments that take place today.

What's the latest with West Ham ace Manor Solomon?

West Ham signed the 27-year-old during a summer rebuild, which saw eight players arrive.

Solomon has played 10 games across all competitions for the Hammers this term, scoring twice in that time.

However, there will be a concern after news emerging from the Israeli press ahead of the Ireland game.

Israeli outlet Sport1 reported that Solomon is one of three members of the Israel squd who are a doubt against Ireland.

Solomon is said to be struggling with back pain following the clash with Kosovo last time out.

They added that there would be a further examination taking place on Solomon on Saturday, with the situation becoming clearer in training.

West Ham crossing fingers on Manor Solomon

This is always the issue with the international break, especially one lasting three weeks.

Any time your players go away with their countries, you're always crossing everything that they come back unscathed.

But with four games to play in this first window, the risk goes up exponentially, and Solomon's situation is a concern

If there is an issue, hopefully common sense will prevail and Solomon will sit out the clash against Ireland on Sunday.

If everything comes back all clear then fine, but it's a long season and no one wants to see Solomon sidelined for an extended period.

There will be a bit of a nervy wait to see what happens, but as a key player in West Ham's promotion push, Nuno will need him fit and healthy for a crucial run up to the festive period.
