New injury update emerges on West Ham United defender Nayef Aguerd
West Ham United defender Nayef Aguerd is certain to join the Morocco squad for their World Cup qualifying away game against Tanzania after injury, according to Claret & Hugh.
The news outlet reported on 17 November that the former Rennes defender will be able to take part in the match after recovering from a concussion picked up in the 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest (12 November).
It is reported that the Hammers would far prefer him to stay in London ahead of the important Premier League game against Burnley at Turf Moor next weekend but the player is keen to join the Morocco squad for an important match.
It appears Aguerd will indeed be allowed to play in the match if required as the protocol covering concussion within Fifa rules is different to the Premier League.

West Ham United's hope that the Moroccan would stay in London after the concussion blow is understandable given the damages it could do long-term and the recovery rest needed after it.
For a Premier League player to play again for their clubs after it, they will have to sit out for two weeks but it's a shame the international picture is different which means Aguerd is free to play on Tuesday for his country.
But it is worrying that both the player and his nation feel he is ready to play after the injury he suffered and given Morocco are playing just one game during this international window, they could have done without him.
A break could have offered Aguerd an opportunity to fine-tune his fitness and work on specific aspects of his game with the West Ham coaching staff.
Now, David Moyes and West Ham United as a whole will be sitting anxiously hoping Aguerd comes out of that crucial fixture unscathed because an injury to him, with Kurt Zouma still out recovering, would be incredibly damaging.
