Amanda Staveley is finally closing in on getting a foot in the door at West Ham United.

Her consortium has now agreed a 25.1 per cent stake at the London Stadium, with final details being sorted.

Partnered by her husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi, at PCP Capital Partners, they are set to shake up the boardroom.

West Ham Zone have heavily covered the ongoing investment, which is set to be worth £160million to the Gold family.

With David Sullivan stepping down from his role as chairman after serious allegations in June, the changes keep coming.

Now, all eyes are on Staveley and Daniel Kretinsky, who may not be best pleased with the latest news.

West Ham in chaos ahead of new season

Nuno Espirito Santo is currently busy preparing for the new Championship season, with carnage around him.

With changes in the boardroom, that appears to have taken centre-stage.

Gary Jacob of The Times has now reported that Kretinsky may actually be disappointed by Staveley's impending arrival.

It's said that the Czech billionaire did have a deal in place himself with the Gold family for those shares, which would have made him majority investor.

Now, more "instability" has been predicted in the short term, with ownership thrown into doubt completely.

Why this could derail West Ham United's entire season

Jarrod Bowen may have signed on to stay at the London Stadium, but that alone isn't enough.

Mateus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville have been sold for a near-combined £150million, yet no money has been spent on signings.

While Staveley's consortium purchasing shares from the Gold's has no current say on decision-making at West Ham, it would in the future.

Kretinsky feeling disappointed about it also doesn't help.

If some sort of divide starts before a deal is even complete for this quite significant share, West Ham have zero hope.

Starting the Championship season without any new signings would be a disaster, especially as the exits continue.

Freddie Potts is next to leave, it seems, with Celtic's Arne Engels the only genuine transfer link to have been revealed so far.

Nuno will hope for more stability, and as more details come out on Staveley and Co, it's the complete opposite of that right now.
