West Ham have reportedly learned how much they will have to pay Juventus to sign Weston McKennie in the January transfer window.

According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the Old Lady are willing to part ways with the 23-year-old for £25.5million.

The report claims that fellow London side Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on signing the United States international.

West Ham

Is he needed?

The Hammers already have two established midfielders in Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.

The two have become an incredible pairing in the middle of the park and David Moyes is unlikely to consider changing a formula that works for him.

Depth is important and that is precisely why the club got in Alex Kral on transfer deadline day.

West Ham

With three quality midfielders already in the squad, the Hammers would rather shell out those funds in other positions.

Right-back and left-back are two positions that could do with some strengthening while their quest for a striker still hasn't ended.

While McKennie is an outstanding box-to-box- midfielder, he is not a player West Ham need or can afford right now.

Spurs might be needing some reinforcements in midfield, given their wretched form and turmoil behind the scenes so we will not be surprised if we see him in North London in 2022.
