David Moyes may not have made an official announcement on his West Ham future, but it now seems pretty obvious he intends to stay on.

That is if fresh transfer speculation in the past 48 hours is anything to go by, with United said to be looking to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham.

According to TEAMtalk [8 April], Moyes has identified central defence as an area that needs strengthening and he is a fan of Adarabioyo.

Assuming Moyes is indeed having a say on which players are brought in, there is no doubt that he intends to pen a new contract.

The Scotsman has been offered fresh terms by the Irons, but he has held off from deciding one way or another what to do with it.

What this report also makes clear is that the uncertainty over Moyes' future does not help West Ham ahead of the summer transfer window.

While Tim Steidten will ultimately have a big say in terms of who comes and goes, players will want to know who they will be playing under.

In the case of Adarabioyo, the former Manchester City player will have a pick of clubs to choose from given he is set to become a free agent.

In that instance, you would expect the 26-year-old to want to know as much as possible about each of the teams interested in signing him.

If Moyes is indeed planning to stay on, an official announcement has to be made soon so that the club can properly push on with transfer plans.

For while there is still plenty to play for this season, one eye will already be on 2024-25.
