West Ham United v Crystal Palace: Doctor issues Jarrod Bowen injury update
West Ham attacker Jarrod Bowen may not play the entire 90 minutes against Crystal Palace post his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that despite playing the full 90 minutes v Bayer Leverkusen on 18 April, he may not be at a 100 per cent.
This does not mean he will not be starting against Crystal Palace on 21 April, but he may be taken off by David Moyes before the full-time whistle.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“Moyes’ comments made it clear that it was a knock but he’s not sure if it was to the knee, back or hip.
“The best case would’ve been a simple muscular contusion that resolves quickly and that seems the most likely one.
“On the other hand, the worst case would be a more complex, deeper and more painful contusion that lingers for longer.
“He played 90 minutes in Europe in mid-week and that’s possible even if he’s not at a 100 per cent.
“I reckon, he’s in a good condition to start over the weekend, but playing the full game again might be an ask too far.”
West Ham must be careful with Jarrod Bowen
Overworking a player returning from can lead to further complications or reinjury, which could sideline him for a more extended period.
Given his significant contributions to the Hammers this season, it’s crucial to manage his recovery and workload carefully to ensure he remains a key asset for the team in the future.

The 27-year-old has bagged 15 league goals and five assists in 31 appearances this season.
