West Ham United players now do not want to play for David Moyes – Pundit

Frank McAvennie admits that the West Ham players do not want to play for each other or for David Moyes.

The Hammers have lost three games on the spin with Moyes under tremendous pressure of being shown the door at the London Stadium.

The hierarchy are believed to be keen on hiring Thomas Tuchel and are a step closer to securing their “dream” appointment.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie, the former Hammers striker said: “They were terrible again. Awful football v Forest.

“I’ve not got a bad word to say about David apart from ‘Let the reins go’.

“I’m not a manager, but that’s the worst defence I’ve seen. You’ve got to bring in people and say ‘We need a better defence than that’.

“It doesn’t look like they want to play for each other. It doesn’t look like they want to play for the manager. And that’s not a good thing.

“David’s got credit in the bank but he can’t go around saying ‘We’ve done this and we’ve won that.

“The fans are getting fed up. We know that he’s won a trophy and yeah, get him a statue.

“They were 17th (at one stage) last season and people forget that because he won the Conference League.”

Moyes to avoid the sack at West Ham United?

Moyes has made a revelation over a new contract at the London Stadium and the ball now seems to be in his court.

Whether or not the club have made the right decision, remains to be seen, but they will not be looking at replacements if they are sure about him.

Right now, there appears to be tremendous chaos behind the scenes and nobody seems to know what the best course of action is.
