West Ham United injury news: Doctor issues Michail Antonio update
West Ham striker Michail Antonio may now not be far away from returning to full-first team training, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he could be back before the end of February as he’s shared a recent update on Twitter as well.
Antonio has been ruled out since mid-November with a Grade 2 ligament tear and has told fans he’ll be back shortly.
“He’s been out for a while now with a ligament tear.
“The recent update certainly means it does sound like he’s progressed to running on grass.
“A return before the end of February seems to be on the cards so he might be back in full first-team training soon if he does not suffer any setbacks.“
Antonio return is a positive for David Moyes
David Moyes will be delighted that Antonio is closing in on his first-team return after being injured for nearly three months.
In January, despite constant links, they did not bring in a new striker and the likes of Danny Ings, Divin Mubama, Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus have all been tried in the number nine position.
The 33-year-old has played 12 Premier League games this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
In other West Ham news, David Moyes is now concerned over the temperament of a first-team regular and may decide to axe him after a recent transfer development.
