West Ham United: Fans to be unhappy amid David Moyes sack development – Pundit
Frank McAvennie states that the West Ham fans he knows are not going to be happy if David Moyes signs a new contract.
A recent update emerged on the Scotsman’s new deal at the London Stadium with the ball seeming to be in his court.
The Hammers have lost three straight games in the Premier League and find themselves in a must-win situation against Brentford on Monday, 26 February.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie, the former Hammers striker said:
“I don’t know what the situation is with David. I don’t think the fans I know will be happy if he gets a new contract.
“The ones I know are quite fed up that he keeps banging his own drum. Tell us how you’re going to change it. Don’t say ‘I’ve done this and I’ve done that.’
“When you’re paying £90 to go and support the team and you walk away after winning 1-0 and think ‘Ah, that was a hard shift.’
“You don’t want to do that when you’re paying £90. It’s just awful to watch.”
West Ham fans have every right to be annoyed with David Moyes
One cannot fault the Hammers fans for having to sit through that dreadful brand of football week in and week out.
Despite having quality players in attack and midfield and the backing from the board, Moyes makes them play a passive brand of football.

Eventually, this style will not be sustainable and he’s either got to make drastic changes or he could be done.
In other West Ham news, a manager with a 69 per cent Europa League win record is eyed to replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.
