West Ham United: Expert shares Premier League verdict on David Sullivan controversy
Dan Plumley has insisted that other Premier League owners will likely agree with West Ham United chief David Sullivan after he spoke out against the independent regulator.
The Hammers co-owner hit out at the potential for the government to interfere in the Premier League, something he is heavily against.
The football finance expert admitted that not every owner is likely to raise concerns to the public, with the brand of the Premier League potentially hurt by the potential regulator.
“I think a few are likely to agree with Sullivan,” he exclusively told West Ham Zone.
“Whether or not they come out publically and say that is another matter, I would suspect that not everyone will raise their concerns in public.
“I suspect there are owners who are in a similar position, and if you look at the why because of that, you have a couple of things there that are already starting to play out.
“There is the new deal for football between the Premier League and the EFL which has been a sticking point, which would mean the Premier League clubs giving away more of their revenue than before to the EFL, which we know a lot of those clubs are not happy with, which is why the talks have stalled and the Premier League have moved on to something more different.
“More wider than that, the Premier League talking about how the independent regulator may hurt the brand of the Premier League around the world which is a valid concern in the argument, whether we like that or not.
“I guess there will be other owners that have similar opinions, I guess whether or not those views become public is up for debate and we might see a few come out and we also may not.”

West Ham United at heart of Premier League controversy
Whether the club likes it or not, Sullivan has made sure they are at the heart of this raging debate between the Premier League and the independent regulator.
Karren Brady has also publically gone against it too, so this is not going anywhere, anytime soon.
In other West Ham news, Gareth Southgate wanted to select a Hammers teammate of Jarrod Bowen’s for his latest squad.
