West Ham told ‘to sign Mario Lemina’ after what happened at Wolves
Martin Allen has urged West Ham to sign Mario Lemina after being frozen out at Wolves.
The Gabon international was involved in a controversial scuffle at the London Stadium in December which saw him be stripped of the Old Gold’s captaincy.
Now under Vitor Pereira at Molineux, the 31-year-old has been banished from the first-team squad, not featuring since the 6 January defeat against Nottingham Forest.
Former Hammers midfielder Allen believes this could represent the perfect opportunity to bring Lemina to East London before the winter window closes.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “Lemina hasn’t even been in the squad for Wolves recently which tells you an awful lot.
“The manager will want him out of the club and they will be doing everything they can to get him out of the club, they’ll be offering him all over the place and see if someone will take him.
“I think he would be a good player for West Ham, he’s good on the ball, he’s feisty and has got something about him.
“Clearly, he’s not happy at Wolves so that would be a definite one.“

Despite being involved in a bust-up with Jarrod Bowen just over a month ago, the ex-Juventus man could still be a useful addition for the Irons.
Lemina is full of energy and bite which could prove to be useful to Graham Potter with just days remaining until the 3 February transfer deadline.

Given that the Gabonese midfielder would be available for a minimal fee, there is little risk which could make him an ideal signing to add depth to the Hammers midfield this winter.
