West Ham to consider accepting £75m Jarrod Bowen bid amid Liverpool news
West Ham United are aiming to enjoy a 2025-26 campaign as an absolute flip of the script from this season.
The Hammers committed to a net spend of over £80million last summer and many of their gambles have not paid off in the slightest.
Graham Potter still has an adept enough squad to work with, but a reshuffle and blank canvas mentality is required over the months of the off-season to achieve what they initially set out to.
The most valuable factor in the summer transfer window to ensure a shot at success is to keep hold of talismanic captain, Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen could leave for £75million, expert predicts
Bowen is under contract until 2030 at the London Stadium.
He’s been linked with a move to Liverpool, via Liverpool News, but has never shown any indication he is unsettled at West Ham – in fact, it’s rather the opposite.
The skipper, 28, has become an adopted East-Ender over the course of his time to date with the Hammers, and has led by excellent example. West Ham’s poor season is certainly despite him, rather than down to him.
TV commentator Ian Darke, speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, also believes Bowen is fully committed but that the Hammers should be braced for some gargantuan offers.
Darke also admitted £75million could be enough to “consider” selling the England forward, with funds then allowing Potter and the board to rebuild the team if desired.
“He’s a great pro, that’s the first impression I get, and that solidified when I read stories about him in the off-season back home, carrying sacks of potatoes on a farm to keep his strength up,” he laughed.
“He’s a super-dedicated and admirable player and I don’t think he’ll be one to ever kick up a fuss with his agent or anything like that. But would there be interest in him this summer? Absolutely. Offers could arrive.
“Bowen is inspirational for West Ham, a top provider and an England international. You can never say never if the right offer came along, but the going rate would be huge with his contract length. If someone came along with £75million, they’d have to consider it.”

West Ham will get more out of Bowen than the money
Ultimately, it comes down to this: West Ham have proven they can excel with Bowen in the side; they could possibly even be in a relegation dogfight without his presence.
The Hammers, however, have not proven they can justifiably spend in excess of £75million. Last summer’s erratic market spree has largely nosedived, and there is zero guarantee selling Bowen would yield any successful arrivals in return.
Jarrod Bowen – club and country | Appearances | Goals |
Overall (inc. Hereford United / Hull City) | 378 | 124 |
West Ham United | 231 | 69 |
England | 16 | 1 |
We’ve seen the method fail elsewhere in the past. Tottenham Hotspur sold Gareth Bale for £86million in 2013 to Real Madrid and notably brought in a host of new recruits with the funds – arguably only Christian Eriksen went on to deliver anything substantial, and there was still no trophy.
Bowen, conversely, has won something with West Ham. He is an unprecedented captain of this generation at the London Stadium in that regard, thus rendering him irreplaceable.
Hypothetically, the answer is clear. Say no to 75.
