‘West Ham to agree Grealish loan’ as Manchester City file document – Exclusive

West Ham could be edging closer towards the loan signing of Jack Grealish.

The Hammers have been linked with an approach for the England international who has seriously struggled for minutes in recent years.

This could see a move to link up with Graham Potter make sense for the 29-year-old, as a Manchester City exit looks likely.

Now, a loan deal could be on the table for Grealish at the London Stadium as a summer transfer edges closer to completion away from the Etihad.

Grealish could now join West Ham on loan

The Irons are in desperate need of reinforcements in the upcoming window after a largely frustrating campaign last time out.

This may come as a struggle for West Ham as PSR concerns look likely to take a toll, which could impact the work of the Hammers’ hierarchy.

As a result, loan approaches could prove to be a useful avenue to go down in East London, as the summer goes on.

This could be utilised with Grealish after Man City submitted their squad to FIFA for the Club World Cup, which didn’t feature the £100million man.

As a result, former Brentford and Leicester City boss Martin Allen believes a temporary switch for the Englishman to the London Stadium could benefit all parties.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “West Ham for Jack Grealish, I think he could play there, yes.

I think it would give him a boost, and he’d play week in, week out.

For West Ham, he would be given more freedom, but at Man City, he has to play the Guardiola way, and I’m not sure he’s always fit in.

Seeing him come in on the left, on a year’s loan, get him playing and get himself some freedom to enjoy his football.

There would be a big loan fee and wages that West Ham wouldn’t be able to cover.

Grealish could edge closer to West Ham after Man City snub

No one has forgotten the levels that the attacking midfielder reached throughout his days as captain of Aston Villa.

This saw the number 10 become one of the best Premier League players to watch, while featuring for a middling Villa side.

It was little surprise when he made the move to City, but now Grealish could look to revive his career at West Ham.

This could result in an excellent link-up with Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville, which could help contribute to a superb front line in E20.

It will now be interesting to see whether the Irons can afford a move for the Citizens’ ace and how quickly they can push a deal over the line.
