West Ham to ‘accept £10m for Edson Alvarez’ in magnificent new transfer
Edson Alvarez looks destined to depart West Ham as the summer transfer window looms.
The Mexico international has failed to live up to the expectations surrounding him since his move from Dutch giants Ajax in 2023.
The 27-year-old has failed to nail down a regular role in the starting 11 under any manager, making just 10 appearances since Graham Potter was appointed.
This could be set to result in a move away from the London Stadium, in a move which could bring in as little as £10million for the Hammers.

West Ham to accept cheap deal for Alvarez
It is bound to be another summer of change in East London as the former Chelsea boss looks to put his stamp on his side in claret and blue.
This will come just 12 months after Tim Steidten made a raft of his changes that ultimately failed to impress in E20.
With the hope of a successful window, Potter could move quickly to part ways with Alvarez, who has made just 19 Premier League starts this season.

Former Irons midfielder Martin Allen doesn’t believe the Mexican is good enough and could be sold for a fraction of what he was signed for.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “With Alvarez, he’s a good technical player who wants the ball all the time and is good on the ball, but he lacks mobility.
“The ability to block shots and crosses, track runners and go with runners is very poor.
“What sort of fee could they get for him? I think if they get £10m for him, they’ve done absolutely magnificent.
“I don’t think there are many clubs in the Premier League that would take him, and I think that tells you an awful lot.
“Would it be a blow to lose him? No. I would get whatever I could for him and put the fee towards some younger players to develop.“

Alvarez looks to be done at West Ham
It is fair to say that the former CF America man has struggled to impose himself in the Premier League, with there being little positivity to speak of from his spell.
Despite coming in as a Champions League regular with Ajax, the midfielder hasn’t ever looked settled at the London Stadium during his spell.
As a result, links to the likes of Borussia Dortmund for Alvarez do come as a surprise, but there is every chance that a move away is agreed in the coming weeks.
