West Ham sent warning amid Jacob Ramsey transfer pursuit

West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey this summer.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has delivered a verdict on the Englishman’s fitness record ahead of a potential transfer.

Ramsey’s hamstring injury history may be assessed by the Hammers

The Hammers may take a closer look at the 24-year-old’s hamstring injury history, according to Dr Brar.

This comes as Aston Villa are keen on signing Ramsey to bolster their side ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “The club may take a closer look at his history of hamstring injuries, particularly with him suffering one of them this past season.

“It kept him out for a while so most certainly was a significant one.

“He’s suffered setbacks in the past, too, so that’s something worth considering.”

West Ham should consider signing Ramsey

Ian Wright is also understood to be an admirer of the 24-year-old Villa star.

He said of him on BBC Match of the Day: “In the first half, Ramsey and McGinn, they were fantastic.”

Ramsey would undoubtedly be an excellent signing for West Ham due to his dynamic midfield presence and proven Premier League quality.

He combines tireless work rate, technical finesse and attacking flair, attributes which Graham Potter’s side needs.

Ramsey’s versatility to play as a No. 8 or 10 adds squad depth, complementing players like Lucas Paqueta.

With the Hammers aiming for European contention, Ramsey’s youth, homegrown status and near £35million valuation make him a strategic, long-term investment to elevate their midfield and push for consistent top-half finishes.

It remains to be seen if they can beat the competition to secure his services.
