West Ham injury news: Crysencio Summerville return update emerges
West Ham attacker Crysencio Summerville’s injury is worse than first expected, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that it was thought to be mild initially, but that is not the case.
The 23-year-old has been ruled out for over two months with his last appearance coming in the 2-1 loss against Aston Villa in January.

April return on the cards for Crysencio Summerville
It seems like the Dutch winger will be missing a few more games and is not expected to be back before April.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “This seems to be an injury which was initially thought to be mild but then has turned into a longer absence.
“That means it’s perhaps worse than initially feared and/or he’s just not responding well to rehab and ramping up.
“Difficult to say what has exactly happened without more details but he’s unlikely to return before April.“
While a first-team return appears to be on the cards in April, the Hammers will be hoping to have him back in training before the end of March.

Graham Potter can get the best out of Crysencio Summerville at West Ham
Graham Potter will likely aim to harness Summerville’s dynamic skill set once he’s back from injury.
The Hammers manager’s emphasis on positional flexibility and high pressing will see the Dutchman tasked with stretching defences and cutting inside to link with forwards like Jarrod Bowen or Mohammed Kudus.

To rebuild his confidence after an injury-hit spell as noted by Dr Brar and inconsistent play under Julen Lopetegui, Potter might ease him back with controlled minutes, leveraging his familiarity with the Premier League’s pace.
Potter’s Brighton tenure showed he excels at reviving flair players, so he’ll likely provide Summerville with freedom to attack while demanding defensive discipline to fit West Ham’s collective press.
This balance should unlock the 23-year-old’s potential, making him a pivotal figure in the rebuild.
