West Ham receive all clear as personal terms update emerges in Martinez chase

West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Girona defender Arnau Martinez before the transfer window closes.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the 22-year-old’s game time and fitness from last season ahead of a potential move to the London Stadium in the coming weeks.
Last season, the right-back played in 39 games in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing as many assists.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “He was available for all but one league game last season, which is a testament to his fitness.
“Any club will be delighted to see that kind of availability, and he should not have any issues clearing his medical.
“Players do take some time to adapt coming from Spain, but if the club are patient with him, he should not take too long.”
West Ham are unlikely to pursue Martinez’s services
While Martinez would have been a strong addition to West Ham, their recent signing of Kyle Walker-Peters renders his acquisition unnecessary.
The Spaniard offers defensive solidity and attacking flair, fitting Graham Potter’s dynamic system.
However, Walker-Peters brings Premier League experience, pace and proven quality.
His familiarity with English football and ability to play both full-back roles provide immediate impact and depth.
With Walker-Peters addressing West Ham’s right-back needs, Martínez’s £12million price tag and adaptation risks make him a redundant investment for the Hammers’ squad.
