West Ham first-team exodus mooted with academy players coming in – Pundit
Frank McAvennie has slammed the first-team players at West Ham for not showing enough fight after recent defeats to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
The Hammers suffered three defeats in a row in the Premier League as they also lost to Manchester United.
The pundit believes that the club needs to get rid of some of those players and bring in players from the academy as they’ll show some desire.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, McAvennie, the former Hammers striker, said:
“Danny Ings recently got Man of the Match, because he’s trying.
“If they [othe players] are not going to do it then bring in the kids.
“Get rid of them. I just don’t get it.”
Moyes sack situation at club makes things harder
It’s not just the performances on the field, but there are off-field issues too at the London Stadium.
A few weeks ago, it seemed a formality that Moyes will sign a new deal but recent performances have seen the club take a step back.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for him, but there needs to be a change in the results or he could end up losing his job.
In other West Ham news, a manager with a 69 per cent Europa League win record is eyed to replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.
