Samu Omorodion claim emerges as West Ham United issue transfer approach
West Ham may look to alter the training routine initially for Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion if they sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that due to the transition to a more physical league, the Spanish attacker is at a higher risk of suffering a setback.
Marca reported on 26 June, page 27, that the Hammers have made an approach for the 20-year-old but according to the Sun on 5 July, Atletico value him at £70million.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“There’s always a transition period from La Liga to the Premier League but his injury record does speak positively toward his current fitness levels.
“The bigger transition may be in terms of playing style and adapting to a completely different climate.
“West Ham may look to alter their routines specifically for him as he adapts to the English game as initially the risks of setback are high.“
West Ham unlikely to shell out huge money for Samu Omorodion
Omorodion could be a transformative signing for the Hammers who are looking for a game changer in attack.
The 20-year-old striker has shown immense potential during his loan spell at Deportivo Alaves and may do the same at the London Stadium as well.
However, a summer transfer at £70 million will be difficult for the Hammers to pull off.

They are not amongst the richest clubs in Europe and unless the Madrid outfit drop their value significantly, it is not expected to go ahead.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made a significant transfer swoop as a bid has been submitted for a Euro 2024 star which is the highest one received by the club.
