Pundit would ‘love’ West Ham United to sign ‘wonderful’ Newcastle United ace Kieran Trippier
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Frank McAvennie would “love” if Newcastle United and England defender Kieran Trippier was at West Ham United.
The claim comes after the right-back played 90 minutes in the recent Premier League encounter between the two clubs.
The Hammers and the Magpies played out a 2-2 stalemate at the London Stadium in their final match before the current international break.

Speaking to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “Kieran Trippier, what a player he is. I would love him to be at West Ham.
“He’s a wonderful talent. A good defender, great on the ball and his free-kicks and crossing are brilliant. What a pity.”
Trippier has once again been in top form under Eddie Howe, with the full-back shining both domestically and in Europe.
He and his teammates were undoubtedly tired going into the clash with the Hammers, having defeated French giants PSG in the Champions League a handful of days before.

Both the Magpies and the Hammers are enjoying strong starts to the Premier League, with the former currently sitting eighth in the table, one point and one place behind the latter.
David Moyes currently has Czech international Vladimir Coufal at his disposal at right-back, with the 31-year-old impressing in claret and blue this season.
He has been shining at both ends of the pitch, with Coufal boasting four assists from his eight league matches so far.
Trippier meanwhile has five to his name, with both players currently aiming to impress on international duty for England and the Czech Republic respectively.
In other West Ham news, Moyes must seriously consider selecting one award-winning Hammers sensation after his rapid rise.
