Pundit shares West Ham United summer transfer verdict as David Moyes claim made
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Frank McAvennie believes West Ham United manager David Moyes has done a decent job in the summer transfer window.
The Hammers sold club captain Declan Rice to Arsenal for £105million, with Gianluca Scamacca and Nikola Vlasic also exiting the London Stadium.
Arthur Masuaku has also been sold, with Manuel Lanzini leaving upon the expiry of his contract and Flynn Downes joining Southampton on loan.

In terms of incomings, Konstantinos Mavropanos has been brought in at the back, with James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez brought in to help fill the gap left by Rice.
Attacker Mohammed Kudus has also been brought in, reuniting with his former Ajax teammate Alvarez in East London.

Speaking to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “It’s alright bringing players in, you can bring as many as you want in, but only if they are the right fit into the club. I hope Moyes is talking to Tim Steidten, because they weren’t talking before.
“It’s not just about buying talent, they need the right attitude. There is no point bringing a moody guy into the dressing room, upsetting everyone, or someone that is always angry. You don’t need that in a dressing room.
“I think Moyes has done the right thing. Time will tell, it’s still early, but it seems to be that he has brought in a couple of decent players.
“Ward-Prowse has been brilliant right away. We knew he would do it in the Premier League. It’s different with the foreign players. I would still have liked Moyes to get Maguire.”
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have officially completed a midfielder signing as a last-ditch deal is registered.
