Potter told to agree deal for Wolves star as first West Ham signing

Martin Allen wants West Ham to sign Mario Lemina from Wolves in January.

The Gabon international will be remembered by Hammers supporters for a scuffle at the London Stadium after the 2-1 win in early December.

The 31-year-old clashed with the captain of the East London outfit at full time but with the winter window now in full swing, former Irons midfielder Allen wants him to move to E20.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “Then not so long ago, the captain of Wolves had a dust-up on the pitch with Jarrod Bowen, Lemina.

I like his arrogance, I like his attitude, I like his aggression, he’s mobile and I would try and sign him to play in front of the back four.

All of a sudden I think you have a much stronger team.

There is no doubt that the midfielder would add some bite and additional technical ability to the middle of the park at the London Stadium.

The former Southampton man could provide competition for the likes of Tomas Soucek and Carlos Soler which can only be seen as a good thing for Potter moving forward.

It is unclear how much the West Midlands outfit could demand for Lemina but given his age and game time since the start of the year, a move could be possible.
