Oumar Solet transfer claim shared as Lopetegui makes West Ham United demand
West Ham will have to be wary of the “red flags” that come with signing RB Salzburg centre-back Oumar Solet according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the 24-year-old’s fitness record over the past 12 months has been less than ideal, making this a risky transfer.
This comes after HITC reported on 30 July that Julen Lopetegui demanded that the Hammers sign the French centre-back before the transfer window shuts.
Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:
“His fitness has been far from ideal over the last 12 months.
“This has coincided with him not being able to train properly and thus playing the games he needs to do get into a nice rhythm.
“The red flags are the multiple soft tissue injuries during the season in the past two seasons in a league that is significantly less intense than the Premier League.“
West Ham do not need to sign Oumar Solet this transfer window
The Hammers have already lured in Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo to strengthen their centre-back ranks.
In fact, it is one area of the squad that Julen Lopetegui has the most depth in which is why Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd could be shown the door.

While Solet is a decent defender, even if he signs, he’s unlikely to start over Kilman and Todibo.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are now in talks over a long-term contract for their next new signing.
