Niclas Fullkrug injury news emerges ahead of West Ham United v Everton

West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug is unlikely to be back against Everton due to his calf injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that his setback is less of an issue with him adapting to a new league and it’s mainly his calf or Achilles complex derailing his return.

If he is to be ready for the game against the Toffees on 9 November, he will need to be back in training imminently.

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said: “Sounds like less of an adaptation issue with Fullkrug and more of an issue in the calf or Achilles complex that can be stubborn and potentially lead to some setbacks.

These are really tricky areas prone to lingering issues and reinjury as it is and then you add in the adaptation aspect, it adds another layer.

It seems unlikely that he’ll be ready to return unless he joins training on Monday or Tuesday.

Niclas Fullkrug is yet to get going since joining West Ham this summer

Julen Lopetegui is yet to see Fullkrug at his best at the London Stadium and he will be disappointed that he’s not able to call upon the German striker’s services this season.

Michail Antonio and Danny Ings have led the line while Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus have chipped in with crucial goals as well.

Hopefully, Fullkrug can recover quickly and become a regular starter and goal threat for the Hammers.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sell an international player in January and have already identified a replacement for him.
