McAvennie reacts as Kurt Zouma is booed by both West Ham and Watford fans
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Frank McAvennie has never seen a player get booed by both sets of fans like Kurt Zouma did as West Ham beat Watford on Tuesday.
Zouma, 27, is the subject of major controversy after the French defender was videoed kicking and hitting a cat.
David Moyes then opted to start the defender against Watford, even though not even 24 hours had passed since the disgusting video clip emerged.

McAvennie has never seen a player get booed by both sets of fans like Zouma did as the Hammers won 1-0 over Roy Hodgson’s side.
The ex-Irons striker is now calling on GSB and Daniel Kretinsky to act.
Speaking to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “The owners have got to do something now.
“The boy’s got to learn that he cannot do that.

“I’m usually the first to stick up for players when they’re young but it’s not right. As long as he gets some kind of punishment, it’s not right.
“He was getting booed by both sets of fans which is a first.”
Zouma has apologised for the incident and has been fined two weeks’ worth of wages, which have been donated to animal welfare charities by West Ham.
Since the decision was made to play Zouma against Watford, the Hammers have seen sponsors drop their deals with the club [Guardian] while the ex-Chelsea defender has also lost his personal sponsorship deal with Adidas.
It remains to be seen if he’ll be involved against Leicester this weekend.
In other West Ham news, Richard Keys has hit out at Karren Brady on Twitter.
