Pablo Fornals ‘needs to go’ as West Ham United exit news shared by Dharmesh Sheth
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Pablo Fornals would leave West Ham United with everyone’s blessing if a deal is struck before the deadline on Thursday, according to Frank McAvennie.
Real Betis are widely reported to be in the hunt to sign 27-year-old Fornals, who has started just four Premier League matches for David Moyes this season.
On 31 January, Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth reported that the Spaniard’s future is up in the air with just over 24 hours to go until the winter transfer window shuts.
It is understood that unless Real Betis raise their bid for the six-times Spain international, he’ll be staying at the London Stadium until at least the summer.
McAvennie can see why Fornals would want to leave because of the way he’s dropped down Moyes’ pecking order.
However, the ex-Hammers striker would fully support of the playmaker’s decision to move on if a move is finalised.
“I’m so pleased for Fornals,” McAvennie told West Ham Zone. “He’s kept on trying and he’s never let anyone down and when he’s come on, he always gave 100 per cent.
“He was fighting to get into the team but they’ve brought in a couple of new players and I understand he’d get down about it.
“He needs to go but he’ll go with everyone’s blessing, that’s for sure. He gave everything for West Ham.”
