Jean-Clair Todibo stalls West Ham United to force through Euro move
Dan Bardell has suggested that Jean-Clair Todibo is stalling a move to West Ham to secure a move for a team in European competition.
HITC reported on 17 July that the Hammers have had a bid accepted by Nice for the France international but were waiting for the green light on the deal.
Juventus are also in the running for the former 24-year-old in a move which the defender may look to hold out for.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes that Todibo is stalling a deal to East London to wait for a European football offer.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Bardell said: “The murmurs are that a deal has been agreed but the player is stalling this one.
“West Ham haven’t got European football and there will be clubs interested who can offer that.
“It looks to me like he is playing a waiting game to see who else comes in for him, otherwise he’d have already signed for.
“I think they could move on to other targets because if they get burned it is West Ham that’ll look silly. This is a tough situation because there’s obviously something wrong.“
Jean-Clair Todibo stalling West Ham move
The Hammers have already added to their defence after bringing in Max Kilman from Wolves earlier on in the transfer window.
It is clear that one signing isn’t enough for Julen Lopetegui who is still interested in bringing Todibo in from Nice.
The Frenchman would certainly be a positive signing, especially given the elite level of other sides that are interested in his signature.
It remains unclear whether the Ligue 1 star would agree to a move to the London Stadium but the offer is on the table from the East Londoners.

Tim Steidten may be better moving on to other targets if the defender continues to stall the Hammers which could see him move elsewhere anyway.
