Freddie Potts waits on Graham Potter call at West Ham, he must not demand answers yet
Freddie Potts has been an outsider for West Ham this season.
After Potts’ superb loan spell at Portsmouth last campaign, there was hope that the midfielder would shine at the London Stadium moving forward.
It appears that Graham Potter isn’t sold on Potts at West Ham, despite the youngster’s positive performances in pre-season for the Hammers.
This has instead seen Potter utilise James Ward-Prowse regularly for West Ham, much to the frustration of supporters in East London.
With that being said, annoyance could emerge from Potts‘ camp due to a lack of regular minutes compared to the faltering Ward-Prowse.

This story includes exclusive comment from former Premier League midfielder Martin Allen.
Freddie Potts can’t make demands to Graham Potter
It did feel as if West Ham’s transfer business could damage Potts and his chances of becoming a regular in claret and blue.
Whether that has had a direct impact or not, it is interesting to see that the Englishman has hardly featured in this campaign.

This has been one of many frustrating subplots for the Hammers faithful in recent months, especially while Ward-Prowse continues to start and perform at a poor standard.
It would be seen as fair if Potts were to knock on the door of Potter and question why his game time has been so limited.
Despite this, former Irons ace Allen believes this would be the wrong action for the 22-year-old to take, but does believe he deserves to feature more in claret and blue.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “I would be very disappointed if he knocks on the manager’s door.
“His chance will come when the manager feels that he’s ready.
“At the moment, he’s sharing the feeling of being part of the first team squad and the experience that comes with that, even just being in the first-team squad.
“The manager will know when it is right for him to go in.
“Personally, I would play him ahead of Ward-Prowse; he would give West Ham something different.
“Graham Potter knows what he’s doing and sees him day in, day out, and I don’t. I think Potts has just got to be patient.“

Freddie Potts deserves a chance at West Ham
There are very few plus points to speak of for the East Londoners this campaign, and the introduction of academy talents could prove to be a boost.
This was the case last season, where Ollie Scarles was seen as one of the rare shining lights for the Irons, but has since been sidelined.
It is fair to say that the West Ham supporters want to see more from the likes of Scarles, Potts and George Earthy, but Potter is seemingly reluctant to do so, which is highly frustrating.
