Frank McAvennie thrilled with remaining West Ham fixtures

We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…

Frank McAvennie claims West Ham have the ability to win all of their four remaining Premier League fixtures this season.

David Moyes’ men finish their stunning Premier League campaign with a home match against Everton on Sunday, back-to-back away games at Brighton and West Brom before finishing the campaign at the London Stadium versus Southampton on May 23.

Ahead of their last four games, the Irons are fighting for a spot in the Champions League for next season.

While winning all four of their games won’t mean they’ll definitely finish in the top-four, McAvennie believes the winnable remaining fixtures are unprecedented for West Ham.

“Brighton away is a hard one, they’re a good team but listen, they’re down there for a reason. They’re hot and cold so hopefully we’ll get them on a cold day and beat them,” McAvennie told West Ham Zone.

“We’ll get West Brom, they’re relegated. By the time we play them they should be and it’s against Big Sam so that’ll be a big bonus. I think they’ll get a result against Southampton.

“It’s four games they can win, they really can. It’s four games and then it’s in the lap of the gods about the other teams.

“It’s a good finish, I’m happy with those games. To say West Ham can win all four games, that’s not been known – but they are all winnable.”

It’s definitely within the realms of possibility that we finish the season with 12 points won out of all 12 available.

Everton at home on Sunday is the toughest of the bunch but Carlo Ancelotti’s side hasn’t done well as of late and after that narrow win at Burnley, confidence is bound to be high in Moyes’ squad.

Let’s see how it goes one game at a time but a top-four finish is possible given our fixtures compared to that of our rivals.

In other West Ham news, this Irons star is being forced to move house because of what fans are doing.
