Frank McAvennie predicts West Ham v Leicester City result
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Frank McAvennie is worried about putting the mockers on a West Ham victory against Leicester City on Monday night, but backs them to emerge triumphant.
The Irons host the Foxes at the London Stadium tonight with both clubs in confident mood after respective wins over Newcastle United and Wolves last weekend.
David Moyes did the double over Brendan Rodgers last season with a 3-2 home win in April following on from a 3-0 thrashing last October.

Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, ex-Irons forward McAvennie is fearful of jinxing their recent record against Leicester.
“I’m afraid to say it because West Ham have been their bogey team,” he said.
“They went there last season and gave them a right good hiding.
“But it’s a full house at the London Stadium this week so I’m going to go for a 2-1 home win.”

This game will be a great indicator of where we are currently at.
The opening day 4-2 win at Newcastle was impressive after a nervy start, but the Magpies are a team that have been tipped by many to be battling relegation this season.
Leicester, however, finished one spot ahead of the Irons last season and have been perennial Champions League contenders.
Tonight will be a big test and it will go a long way to determining how many more signings need to be brought in before the end of the summer transfer window.
In other West Ham news, the Irons have held preliminary talks over striker & winger signings from Euro clubs.
