Finance Expert reacts to ‘Phenomenal’ West Ham United news as millions earned

Dan Plumley has insisted that it has been a “phenomenal” few years for West Ham United in Europe as they continue to rake in the new windfall.
After winning the Conference League last season, the Irons have cruised through their Europa League group and have earned £6.8million so far from that.
The finance expert admitted that success in Europe comes with a good pot of prize money, as well as new commercial and sponsorship opportunities.
“Phenomenal few years in Europe,” he exclusively told West Ham Zone.
“Look at the initial run in the Europa League, then winning the Conference League and now again in the Europa League and the prize money that generates, we know that the Conference League and Europa League are not the same financially as the Champions League but to go into the latter stages of either of those competitions, it comes with a decent pot of prize money.
“Obviously, with West Ham winning a trophy as well, that generates more opportunities commercially and sponsorship and the fans have revelled in the fact that they are back in Europe and have won a trophy.
“Everything there becomes a positive factor and if you can keep sustaining that, they’ve had a good run so far this season into the knockouts and again, that generates more prize money and more commercial opportunities linked to individual games.
“It’s just been a really good few years for West Ham in Europe and has allowed them to kick on.”
