Evann Guessand ‘set to clear medical’ as West Ham bid on the cards

West Ham are reportedly considering making a bid in order to secure the services of Nice striker Evann Guessand.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has gauged the fitness record of the 24-year-old ahead of a potential medical this summer.

Graham Potter is understood to be keen on bringing in attacking flair at the Hammers in the coming weeks.

It’s understood that the French striker will cost them around £20million/

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said:

“He was injury-free last season and that is as good as it gets for a player ahead of a potential transfer.

“I do not see him facing any issues with his medical either.

“One thing the club may have to consider is his adaptation and it may take him a few weeks to get going, so they could monitor his minutes initially.”

West Ham can do with a striker like Guessand

West Ham could undoubtedly do with a striker of Guessand’s calibre leading the line for them next season.

The London Stadium outfit have seldom got their recruitment for a new striker spot on, leaving Jarrod Bowen the onus of leading the line.

Also, signing players like Nicklas Fullkrug have yielded very little dividends as he’s stylistically not been the best fit for the Premier League.

Danny Ings has also left the club, leaving them another striker shy.

Mohammed Kudus, while not a number nine, has chipped in with goals, left for a big money fee as he joined Tottenham and that money can be used on strengthening the attack.
