David Moyes exit news at West Ham United causes outrage as update emerges
We’re delighted to welcome former West Ham United striker Frank McAvennie as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at the London Stadium…
Frank McAvennie believes the talk of West Ham United not renewing the contract of David Moyes is only hearsay.
As per talkSPORT (6 November), it is unlikely that the Hammers boss will be offered a new contract when his current deal expires next summer.
The publication added that the manager is, however, not in any imminent danger of being sacked by the London Stadium club.

Speaking to West Ham Zone, McAvennie said: “I think Moyes has a big job ahead of him. They are talking about not renewing his contract, but we shouldn’t be talking about it, it’s hearsay.”
The developments regarding Moyes come amid a worrying run of results for the Hammers, who have lost their last three Premier League matches.
Such poor form has caused the London Stadium club to slip down to 12th place in the table, with just four wins from their 11 matches so far. They do, however, sit top of their Europa League group, having won two and lost one of their three matches.

Moyes has also guided the Hammers into the quarter-finals of the League Cup, where they will play Liverpool after defeating Arsenal in the round of 16.
The manager has enjoyed plenty of success in East London, notably helping the club lift the Europa Conference League last season.
Moyes also led the Hammers to 14th place in the Premier League last time out, having been heavily involved in a relegation battle at one stage.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are waiting in line to sign a Serie A star, with a summer transfer on the cards for the player.
