WHZ View: 26y/o deserves it - Three players who should start v Man United

West Ham face Manchester United at the London Stadium on Saturday as they bid to continue their winning run in the Premier League.

The Hammers have won their last three league matches and sit fifth in the table, although they were fortunate to come away with the points against Aston Villa last time out.

Villa missed a penalty and a had a goal ruled out for offside in an incredibly close call, and this could prompt manager David Moyes to make changes before the visit of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

Here are three players that are in contention for a start.

Sebastien Haller

Haller entered the fray at half-time against Villa after Michail Antonio endured a difficult first half on his return from injury. The 26-year-old will have felt hard done by to get dropped after his strong showing against Sheffield United where he scored the matchwinner, and he could start against United.

Antonio was very isolated and completed just two passes in 45 minutes against Villa (via WhoScored), but Haller’s exceptional ability in the air could allow the Hammers to play long against United. The Ivory Coast international completed two dribbles and won seven aerial duels against Dean Smith’s men in just the second half.

Said Benrahma

Another half-time substitute, Benrahma’s impact was immediate as he crossed for Jarrod Bowen to put the Hammers ahead within one minute of being on the pitch. It was his second league assist for the club in just his third appearance, and he deserves his first league start on Saturday.

The former Brentford man can play across the frontline and could replace Pablo Fornals, who was largely anonymous against Villa, completing 13 passes and failing to take a shot or complete a dribble (via WhoScored).

Mark Noble

The club captain has been more involved in recent weeks after recovering from a knock and could be the right man for the big occasion. Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice have impressed in the centre of the park, but Moyes could look to add bulk in midfield in order to stop his side being overrun by United.

The 33-year-old played 11 minutes off the bench against Villa and will be looking to earn just his second Premier League start of the season.
