West Ham United to sign perfect Michail Antonio replacement as transfer update emerges
Michail Antonio has struggled in front of goal under the new West Ham coach Julen Lopetegui so far.
The 34-year-old only has one goal and one assist against Ipswich Town and Brentford, respectively, with the lone striker unable to hit any sort of form despite the talent surrounding him.
Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Crysencio Summerville have all been finding the back of the net in the Premier League, though Lopetegui continues to keep the Jamaican in the starting XI.
With Danny Ings unlikely to be given a chance and concerns only rising around Niclas Fullkrug’s career in East London so far, a new striker signing has already been mooted ahead of the January transfer window.
Of course, this would mean David Sullivan investing even more funds into the squad after a plethora of new arrivals in the summer, but Lopetegui is really struggling to get his team off the ground.
Bowen is currently the club’s top scorer in the league this season with three goals, closely followed by Kudus, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta all on two. It is just not good enough.
West Ham United must sign Corinthians star Yuri Alberto in January
According to TBR Football [31 October], the Hammes are one of the teams looking to sign Yuri Alberto from Corinthians, with Everton, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest also interested.
Premier League interest should really come as no surprise. The 23-year-old has 25 goals and six assists in 52 appearances in all competitions, out-performing striker partner Memphis Depay in attack.

The Hammers were offered the chance to sign the Corinthians forward for just £17million during the summer transfer window [Graeme Bailey], though a move never came to fruition.
The London side will surely be regretting this decision now as the water continues to rise around Lopetegui’s ankles and the forward line continues to look disjointed.
In other West Ham news, a talkSPORT pundit reacted live on air as Ruud van Nistelrooy was mooted to replace Julen Lopetegui.
