West Ham United talent Ollie Scarles scores stunning free-kick

West Ham young talent Ollie Scarles scored a stunning free-kick for the Under-21 side against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday (11 November).

The Hammers official Twitter handle has hailed the goal, saying “take a bow”. The youngster scored with his left foot from outside the penalty area.

The curve in the shot and the technique to go with it should please David Moyes if he has watched the footage.

The Hammers academy has produced some fantastic talents over the years who have gone on to become stars in the Premier League.

Scarles, 16, has the potential to become a regular member for the senior side in the future.

Definitely, he has got great talents, and it seems he is playing with loads of confidence at the moment as well.

David Moyes gave him his debut for the senior squad in the Europa Conference League game against FCSB earlier this month, a game that ended 3-0.

The youngster started the game and played 68 minutes before he was taken off.

It will be interesting to see if he gets another opportunity for the senior team, although chances are unlikely as West Ham are expected to take their Europa League Conference games more seriously now.

Nevertheless, he is making tremendous progress at the academy level, and the club must ensure they do everything possible for his growth and development.

In recent years, the Hammers have struggled to keep some of their top young talents with them. Sonny Perkins joined Leeds United and Harrison Ashby is also heading for the exit. Hopefully, it won’t happen with Scarles.
