West Ham United: Said Benrahma can hold head high in Premier League this season, leads way in highest attacking threat

West Ham really haven’t hit the heights expected of them this season, particularly after a couple of strong showings in previous campaigns.

Perhaps their fine Europa Conference League journey can be to blame, but one certainty is that things need to improve domestically next time out.

The Hammers have been poor in various areas, with many of their big-name players failing to find their feet in the Premier League.

But one player that can hold his head high on an individual level is Said Benrahma, who has been a constant threat down the wing this season.

The Algerian can definitely improve on his tallies of six and three when it comes to goals and assists respectively, but it is better than most of his teammates have managed in their frustrating league campaign.

The 27-year-old has also shone in other competitions, but his feats have been particularly evident in the league, with the winger sitting top of the standings when it comes to the players with the highest attacking threat.

As per the official Premier League website (18 May), West Ham forward Benrahma boasts a figure of 2.60 in terms of completed dribbles/90 minutes.

The total puts him top of the standings in this area for players with a minimum of 20 starts, ahead of the likes of Crystal Palace ace Eberechi Eze (2.46) and Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma (2.40).

The Hammers have all but secured their Premier League safety thanks to a handful of positive results lately, and talented winger Benrahma has been a key player in this recovery.
