West Ham United player ratings in Premier League showdown v Chelsea

West Ham United welcomed Chelsea to the London Stadium on Saturday 11 February as they look to continue their form in the Premier League.

David Moyes was given the luxury of keeping an unchanged starting XI with Thilo Kehrer recovering from his potential injury blow at Newcastle.

Joao Felix opened the scoring after the away side dominated before Emerson got the Hammers back in it to earn them an important point in this Premier League fight.

West Ham

West Ham Zone rated the players out of 10 below…

Lukasz Fabianski – 9

The big stopper did not put a foot wrong all afternoon, pulling off some big saves to keep the home side in it when Chelsea really dominated the opening stages.

Vladimir Coufal – 6

Not a bad afternoon defensively, but when playing in that wing-back role, Coufal really needs to start refinding his feet in the final third, delivering assists as he did when first joining the club.

Thilo Kehrer – 5

The German made the side despite big fitness concerns after his injury last week, and the number of times the likes of Kai Havertz and Joao Felix got in behind throughout, it looked as though he needed more rest.

Nayef Aguerd – 7

Another big performance from the Moroccan who is finally showing his true colours, although this injury is a huge concern. Aguerd made numerous big interceptions, including as Ben Chilwell bared through on goal in the second half.

West Ham

Angelo Ogbonna – 7

The leadership of the Italian is always on show in games of this magnitude, and his cool head certainly helped the Hammers grow into the game after being pinned back initially.

Emerson – 8

It was an afternoon to remember for the left-back, who stayed strong throughout and got his reward by finding the back of the net against his former side to equalise.

Declan Rice – 7

Another solid afternoon for the skipper who went about his business superbly. After Enzo Fernandez dominated the first half an hour, the record-breaking Argentine was hardly seen after that as Rice put his foot down.

Lucas Paqueta – N/A

Injury ending his afternoon early – let’s hope it’s not too bad.

West Ham

Jarrod Bowen – 7

Everything was there apart from the end product. Bowen was often behind every counter-attack or burst into the final third, but that last pass or shot never seemed to be there this afternoon – it will come.

Michail Antonio – 5

Antonio has been forced into this lone striker role in recent months which sees him simply chase the ball for 90 minutes, especially against sides who like to keep the ball. It is clear to see the frustration, with hard work but no reward in his situation right now.

Said Benrahma – 4

The Algerian was not really anywhere to be seen at the London Stadium, with his flair able to unlock any defence on his day. The only problem is that there are too many of these days, and more consistency is desperately needed from Benrahama.

West Ham United subs: Tomas Soucek – 6, Danny Ings – 6, Flynn Downes – 5, Ben Johnson – N/A
