Jamie Carragher left himself wide open for criticism from West Ham and Brentford fans with a poll he posted on social media.

The Liverpool legend will be a pundit on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football for West Ham's clash with Brentford on Monday (26 February).

Those not in attendance at London Stadium would have hoped for some extensive build-up to the game beforehand.

West Ham United v Brentford an afterthought for Sky Sports

However, the usual chat about David Moyes's future aside, it looks like the main topic of discussion will be surround the fallout from Liverpool v Chelsea.

Carragher asked his followers on Twitter [26 February] which of four topics they want to hear about, with that subject leading the way.

Given the number of Liverpool supporters that follow him, it is little wonder the the Carabao Cup final choice came out on top.

A number of West Ham fans were quick to comment on the post, asking why there is not more focus on the West Ham versus Brentford game.

It is likely that match - the one Sky are meant to be covering, remember - will get a 15-minute slot close to kick-off to appease fans.

That leaves an hour of airtime to fill, so prepare yourselves for plenty of chat about Jurgen Klopp's brave kids if you plan on tuning in early.

All that said, if recent results are anything to go by, it may be better if Carragher discusses anything but West Ham after the game.
