West Ham United making big blunder after brilliant Tomas Soucek statistic

A brilliant stat showing Tomas Soucek to be the best midfielder in the Premier League at ariel duels shows how big of a mistake West Ham are making with his shocking treatment.

The club have had several unsuccessful rounds of new contract talks with the Czech Republic international with ExWHUemployee reporting the postponement of the discussions.

With the style of football David Moyes likes to play, the midfielder is incredibly important to the Hammers and the latest statistic shared by WhoScored on Twitter only serves as proof.

The fact that the club have let the discussions go this far without coming to an agreement is shocking.

They are showing Soucek a lot of disrespect considering he has been one of the team’s top performers since joining the club and this is an issue that needs to be resolved sooner rather than later before he leaves the Hammers.

The club have completely undervalued Soucek’s importance to the team it seems and they could regret it with Tottenham sniffing close to the 27-year-old, according to reports by Claret and Hugh.

Make no mistake, he is not on the level of Declan Rice but when he looked set to leave – they offered him a ridiculously lucrative contract in order to keep him.

Again, the pair cannot be compared but the Czech has been one of the most important components in not only letting the Irons skipper shine but the rest of the team.

He won Hammer of the Year in his first season and it seems as if Moyes and co have forgotten just how good he is after shackling him in the 2021/22 campaign in a much more defensive role.

West Ham need to treat Soucek with the respect he has earned already during his fairly short spell at the club before somebody else does.
