West Ham United have easy David Moyes sack decision after what happened at London Stadium

West Ham have not been at their best this season, with results in 2024 alone particularly damaging for the East London club.

The Hammers are without a win in eight matches, with that shocking run seeing them drop down to ninth in the Premier League table.

Unsurprisingly, it has heaped pressure on manager David Moyes, although it is not the first time the Scot has been feeling the heat at the London Stadium.

Discussions have seemingly taken place about sounding out a replacement for the current boss, who will see his West Ham contract come to an end at the end of the season.

But given his feats since joining the club, there should certainly not be any decision until the campaign has drawn to a close, particularly one that would involve sacking the manager.

That is because of his Premier League finishes since returning to the London Stadium in December 2019. As per Sky Sports (23 February), the Hammers finished in 16th place that season, with Moyes then remarkably shooting them right up to sixth place in the following campaign.

European football was now taking place in East London, with the club then backing that up with seventh spot in the table in 2021/22.

The Europa Conference League heroics saw the Hammers drop back down to 14th place in 2022/23, a position fans did not care about one bit given their unforgettable European success. Before his arrival, fans were constantly being let down, with constant bottom half finishes taking place.

West Ham should not be sacking David Moyes

Europa League football has now been brought to East London by the man in the dugout, with the club having topped their group, resulting in a round of 16 clash with SC Freiburg.

At the same time, Moyes has West Ham sitting in the top half of the league, a situation that supporters of the club simply have to appreciate.

The London Stadium chiefs should be of the same opinion, with Moyes doing a phenomenal job in the dugout.
