West Ham United ready to seal Sergio Reguilon transfer in Tottenham twist
West Ham United want to sign Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon this summer, according to AS.
Writing on their website [3 July], the Hammers are ready to move for a player that Julen Lopetegui won the Europa League with at Sevilla.
Reguillon spent the first half of last season on loan at Manchester United but ended the season with Brentford after the Red Devils terminated that spell.
The 27-year-old is ready to leave Tottenham following three loan spells since 2022.
West Ham ready Tottenham transfer this summer
West Ham have already confirmed a deal for 18-year-old Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras last month, with more wanted.
Now, Lopetegui has clearly identified the defence as the area of concern for his side.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has also documented the club’s attempt to sign Nice defender Jean Claude-Todibo.
Given all of these links already so early in the window, Lopetegui could field a brand new defence next season at the London stadium.

Despite an unimpressive loan spell at Manchester United, Reguilon enjoyed success at Brentford. He established himself as a regular at the Gtech stadium and recorded four assists in 16 appearances.
With 12 months left on his contract, a deal would cost a fraction of the £30million Tottenham paid for his services in 2020.
Reguilon has three years of Premier League experience sandwiched with a loan spell to Atletico Madrid in the 2022/23 season, and a move for the Spanish defender could be a shrewd deal for the club.
In other West Ham news, Jacob Steinberg has dropped an update on Max Kilman after a bid for Todibo was made.
